Subsidised Gym Membership
Haven’t belonged to a gym/fitness centre for over 12 months? You have good chance of securing a subsidised gym membership through the Get NZ Active Promotion. The Exercise Association (creators of the initiative) continue to benefit the lives of kiwis by cutting down the all too obstacle - money.
Key details:
- Subsidies range from 40 to 70% off the standard membership price (including joining fees if applicable)
- Only applicable to the gyms listed on their website below
- Gym memberships can be purchased for family and friends
- Must not have been part of a gym (or fitness centre) in the past 12 months
- Must not have received a subsidy in the past

Groupon has a category dedicated to health and fitness, and although most deals are for exercise gear there’s a good chance of finding gym membership deals.
